The African Quantum Alliance was founded as a result of the networking conference Quantum Science and Technology Across Africa Consortium Meeting – Scottsburgh, 23rd-27 June 2025.
The African Quantum Alliance (AfriQA) is a collaborative network of researchers, educators, and innovators dedicated to advancing quantum science and technology across Africa. Established following the Quantum Science and Technology Across Africa Consortium Meeting held in Scottsburgh, South Africa, in June 2025, the Alliance brings together experts from across the continent and international partners who share a common vision of building Africa’s quantum capabilities.
